Jason Brown
Jason started playing tennis at the age of 7 and had a very successful high school career playing for Topeka High School in Kansas. During his junior and senior year, Jason played doubles with his younger brother and they came 2nd in the state tournament. In his senior year, they won the team title.
At Emporia State University, Jason played #1 singles and #1 doubles. During a summer at college, Jason started teaching tennis and has never looked back. In addition to his B.S. in Psychology and minor in Physical Education, Jason received a secondary education certificate from Washburn University and is certified to teach in Kansas.
Jason has been the Head Teaching Professional at Richland Tennis Center, Lifetime Fitness and Hurst Tennis Center. Most recently, he was the Junior Tennis Director at Las Colinas Country Club. At Las Colinas Country Club, he also coordinated all the in house recreational leagues along with cardio tennis and beginner tennis.
Jason’s background in education, combined with his tennis background and organizational skills make him a valuable asset to the Birch team. In his free time, Jason enjoys cheering for his Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks, hiking and taking pictures. In fact, many of the Birch’s photographs are taken by Jason.
Jason is USPTA certified and a Net Generation Certified Coach
