Mark-Anthony Kenney

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Mark-Anthony was introduced to the game of tennis at the age of 4 by his mother. He started playing tennis at the Sportsmen’s Tennis & Enrichment Center in Dorcester, MA., the first black owned and run tennis facility in the United States. 

Mark-Anthony became an instructor at Sportmen’s after playing for Whittier College.  While Mark-Anthony was at Whittier College, they finished 3 rd in their conference. Whittier College is in the Southern California Intercollegiate Conference (SCIAC) and is ranked in the top 20.

Most recently, Mark-Anthony was the Assistant Director at the Dallas Tennis & Education Academy. He was the Head of a Boys Mentor Group and also a Yoga Instructor. Prior to that he was the Travel Team Coordinator and Tournament Director at the Sportsmen’s Tennis & Enrichment Center.

Mark is a PTR Level 3 certified Instructor specialized in 12U, PTR Adults and PTR High Performance 11-17 years. He brings a lot of energy to his classes and always strives to get the maximum potential out of all his students.

In Mark-Anthony’s free time, he enjoys teaching yoga classes.
